Why should you attend the Fall Conference? Here are some reasons from your fellow Toastmasters:
 Attending a District conference has helped me understand more about the opportunities for my growth and development. I received training that allowed me to be a better speaker and evaluator in my home club. I also met other toastmasters who became mentors and friends that I could call on to help me bring training and support to my club. Using the information I gained at the conferences as a trainer in my home club accelerated my skill level as a speaker and leader. The first time I went to a District conference, I thought it would be boring and not worth the price tag – little did I know! The conference was enthusiastic, energizing, and entertaining. I loved the seminars, they were well executed and informative. Watching the District speech contest winners compete was a treat by itself. The networking with experienced “high caliber” Toastmasters broadened my TM horizon, and inspired me to become an Area Governor with the next possible term - a valuable experience on my way to becoming a DTM next year. I now have a much better big picture of what Toastmasters is all about, what’s in it for me, and how I can contribute to help others succeed. -Sven F.
I still remember the first district conference I ever attended. It was the first time I'd ever done anything outside the club and it opened up a new world of Toastmasters for me. And as a new club officer, I was inspired by the level of speaking ability of the contestants and the poise and command demonstrated by the district leaders. Conferences can open up a whole new world to our members, providing a chance to meet talented Toastmasters from other clubs and share thoughts and ideas to take home to the club.  Going to a conference is a really eye-opening experience and it's so much fun. You meet people from all over the district, from other clubs, with other interests, and with other kinds of experience. Some of them are new like you and some are incredible and knowledgeable speakers and leaders. You will learn something from every single person you talk to or listen to while you are there. The training sessions are interesting, on topics that connect the speaking you do in Toastmasters to the rest of your life. The contests and other speeches you will hear really make you realize how much you have to learn and how much opportunity there is to grow as a speaker, both within and beyond the world of toastmasters. I had only been in Toastmasters for three weeks before I attended my first conference. I remember being very much in awe of some of the presenters, but I met them and they encouraged me to participate fully. I met many other people at that conference. It turned out that several of them became life long friends. I had such fun, that I have attended every district conference that I have been able to attend ever since that first one. Here I am 30 years later, still having fun, still learning, and still making even more friends. Come join us on November 13th & 14th at the Skagit Valley Casino and Resort.
