Congratulations on being elected into a Club Officer position for the 2022-2023 Toastmasters year! We are excited to be leading alongside you. To help ensure you have the tools you need to be successful in your role, the district provides club officer training twice per year.

Summer: June – August
Winter: November  – February

For the past several years District 2 has called these training events MELEs, which is a term that was created here in District 2. We have transitioned the name of these training events back to the standard Toastmasters terminology, TLI. Going forward there will be two types of club officer training events. Please watch the video below from the 2021-2022 Trio for a quick overview of these changes.

Toastmasters Leadership Institute is also referred to as TLI. This training event will have the same structure as the MELEs you are used to with prepared leadership presenters along with breakout sessions for each officer role position. There will be one TLI per round of training. This is a four-hour training that includes all seven officer training, plus a keynote and more.

Club Officer Training is also referred to as COT. These training events will be focused sessions on either a specific club officer role or topic. There will be 14 COTs in this round of training. See below for the full schedule.

You must attend any one of these training events live in order to get credit towards your club’s Distinguished Club Program goals, and you will get credit for every role in every club you are a member of by attending one training. We use your Toastmasters member number to determine which club officer role(s) to give you credit for.

The Super 7 Award will continue this Summer as well. If ALL 7 officer role positions are trained, you will be reimbursed $70 IN District 2 Dollars.

The recordings for these events will be made available on the District YouTube channel, so be sure to subscribe today! (Watching the recording does not count towards achieving club officer training credit. It is against Toastmasters International policies to do so.)

Please be sure to fill out the survey for the training event you attend and let us know what you think.
