Please join us to cheer on your favorite contestant or to hear some outstanding speeches!
The contest will start promptly at 1:30pm. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early, but know that you will not be let in until the team is ready. You may be in the waiting room for a bit. No one will be let in while a speech is in progress, you will be admitted between speeches if you arrive after the start time.
Save the date for this year’s District 2 Annual Conference to be held the week of May 14th through the 22nd. The fun starts at 10:00 am on May 14th. The Keynote portion is on May 21st starting promptly at 8:00am. Be sure to arrive early, so you don’t miss even one minute. We are proud to present three exceptional and accredited speakers to help us explore our theme.
Verity started her journey as one of the first online crowd funders. Fifteen years later, and a career glittered with accolades, Verity’s latest big first – the sixth woman in history and first speaker from Africa to ever be crowned the World Champion of Public Speaking.
Morag Mathieson, DTM, of Moehrendorf, Germany, First Vice President of Toastmasters International, is a self-employed professional development consultant and chair of the Board of the child sponsorship charity Living Water Germany. She has held a number of high-profile leadership positions within Toesignation—the highest level of educational achievement in the organization.
Accredited Speaker, Distinguished Toastmaster is a facilitator, strategist, trainer, and coach and consultant specializing in leadership and organization development. Known most in his home district for designing and leading half-day developmental workshops on professional speaking and leadership. He holds a Master’s Degree in Social Welfare from the University at Albany (New York).
