Dear District 2 Toastmasters, District 2 is now accepting nominations/applications for District Leaders to serve for the 2023–2024 Toastmasters year. If you are looking for leadership opportunities and challenges that will take you to the next level, not only in Toastmasters but also in your professional development, consider serving as a district leader. The District Leadership Committee (DLC) is searching for energetic, enthusiastic, dedicated individuals interested in providing quality leadership in District 2. Take the next step up and discover the leader within you. The opportunities for growth are endless! We are looking to fill the following leadership positions: Area Directors, Division Directors, Finance Manager, Administration Manager, Public Relations Manager, Club Growth Director, Program Quality Director, and District Director. Each of these positions will count toward one year of leadership service for your Pathways DTM. Are you interested in nominating yourself or another member for a district leader position? To be nominated, elected, and hold office, a member must meet the following requirements: ● Member in good standing of a District 2 Toastmasters club that is in good standing ● Meet the qualifications of the position – Download the District Leaders Qualifications and Responsibilities ● Fill and sign all required forms: Candidate Application, District Leader Nominating Form, District Leader Agreement and Release Statement, Biographical Information All potential candidates must submit the required forms, listed above, to the DLC at d2tm.dlc@gmail.com no later than February 18. There are TWO opportunities to learn more about what is involved in serving as a district leader. There is also this list of Competencies that you can gain from the experience. The Leaders’ Breakfast on Saturday, February 4, 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM will be an in-person opportunity to hear about leadership from current and past leaders.
